***Please note that I am not currently taking Prenatal Massage clients as I don't have the proper bolsters.

For Groupon Customers:

I am so happy to offer Groupon discounts to new clients. I also have matched the Groupon deal and offer it to all of my new clients as a new client special. You may purchase Groupon or come in and pay the same rate in office. I am also offering a $5 referral credit for anyone that is referring friends and family straight to me.

I do ask that you read the fine print of the Groupon offer. I am only offering the discounts to

1 voucher per customer as a new client special. It is a great way to bring in new clients, but since Groupon takes most of the funding and advertises large sale prices, I am not able to afford to offer it more than once as a new client special. Unfortunately, Groupon will sell you as many vouchers as you will buy, knowing that you will have to return it for a credit. There is nothing I am able to do in this case. In the case that you have purchased more than one for yourself, Groupon will credit your account or you may gift it to a loved one.

(Please continue to the policy)

Proper Client Hygiene

Clients should arrive freshly showered and practice good hygiene. Please keep in mind that it is difficult to work through dried sweat and dirt and the client will not receive maximum benefits of the massage if the therapist is not able to glide properly on the tissue. If a client arrives without showering first, the massage will be switched to a sports massage (stretching) and charged accordingly.

***Inappropriate Behavior Policy***

Massage therapy is for relaxation and therapeutic purposes only. There is ABSOLUTELY NO sexual component to massage whatsoever. ANY insinuation, joke, sound, gesture, conversation, or request otherwise will result in IMMEDIATE TERMINATION of your session and a refusal of any and all services in the future. You will be charged the full service fee regardless of the length of your session. Depending on the behavior exhibited we may also file a report with the local authorities if necessary. Treat your therapist with respect and dignity and you will be treated the same in return.

Cancellation Policy

We respectfully ask that you provide us with a 24 hour notice of any schedule changes or cancellation requests. Please understand that when you cancel or miss your appointment without providing a 24 hour notice we are often unable to fill that appointment time. This is an inconvenience to your therapist and also means our other clients miss the chance to receive services they need. For this reason, a credit card will be held on file when you book your session and a 50% charge of the Full Original Price of the service will be charged for late cancellations and no shows. If you have a prepaid service or gift card, you will be issued a credit of the remaining balance after the 50% charge has been deducted.

****If you have a fever, a known infection, or have experienced vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours prior to your appointment time, we request that you CANCEL your session.****  This will prevent spreading the illness to the therapist as well as other clients. If you arrive and are noticeably ill, you will be asked to reschedule and will be charged the 50% cancellation fee. So please make sure to cancel your session if you are feeling ill.

In the case that the therapist is ill and has to reschedule, add-ins such as hot rocks and hot towels will be included in your rescheduled session to make up for the inconvenience. To keep this at a minimum, we highly stress that you do NOT come to your session sick.

Late Arrival Policy

We request that you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment time to allow time to fill out any required paperwork as well as answer any intake questions your therapist may have. If you will be late, please call ahead to let your therapist know to wait for you. Appointment times are reserved for each client, so we cannot exceed that reserved time without making the next client late. For this reason, arriving after your appointment time will result in loss of time from your massage so that your session ends at the scheduled time. Full service fees will be charged even when sessions are shortened due to late arrival. In return we will do our best to be on time, and if we are unable to do so we will add time to your session to make up for our late arrival, add in hot rocks and hot towels or adjust the service charge accordingly.

Understanding your service

Swedish Massage VS. Therapeutic Massage

A Swedish Massage is light to medium pressure. This massage is excellent for relaxing when you are overly stressed. For those needing deeper, more targeted work on previous injuries or chronic pain and stiffness, you will need the Therapeutic massage which focuses on the individual problem areas. Please note that massage may leave you feeling sore for a day or two after and it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids to help flush out toxins.

** If you have booked a Swedish Massage and would prefer a Therapeutic Massage, it is simply a $15 difference that may be paid at your session.

Other add-ins may also be purchased at time of session:

*Hot Rocks $5

Hot rocks are recommended for Therapeutic Massage to help melt away fascia and get deeper into the tissue.

Hot Towels $5

Hot towels are excellent for relaxing. Hot towels are used throughout the session to create a spa like feeling. The mix of damp and dry towels allow for warm bolstering to lift the shoulders while working on the back, and raise the neck while laying on the back. Feet are wrapped and face is draped to promote relaxation.

Aromatherapy $5

Essential oils are wonderful to ease nerves and bring the body into a relaxed state of mind.

Reflexology $5

Adding in reflexology to your session will give the body an extra push towards healing and releasing toxins.

Massage F.A.Q.

Will I be covered during my session?

You will be covered with a sheet and a blanket during the session. Only the areas being worked will be un-draped. The client should always tell the therapist if they feel uncomfortable or have any areas they do not want worked.

Must I be completely undressed?

Many clients feel more comfortable leaving boundaries on, any boundaries left on will be worked by compression over the sheet and will not receive the full benefit of the massage. Once the client becomes comfortable with massage, it is more beneficial to undress fully. That way the hips, glutes, thighs and lower back can be worked properly.

How much should I tip?

It is recommended to treat the therapist as a waiter. Tipping on the total original price rather than the sales price will show your therapist how well she did. If you are unsure what proper tips are, for an hour session tips range from $10, $15, $20 and up.

How often should I receive a massage?

It is recommended to have routine work done at least once a month to maintain a healthy mind and body. If you are in need of more work, there are weekly and bi-weekly appointments as well. You may want to check out my VIP membership for these sessions.

What is included in the session time?

Each session begins right on time and goes the length of your session. If you arrive 5 minutes early, we may begin early, but the session will then end 5 minutes early. Once in the room, we will go over any new areas of concern and I will answer any questions you may have. Then I will step out of the room and give 2 minutes for you to undress and get on the table. The massage will be given until the end of the session. Afterwards, you will have time to get dressed and discuss any further questions and book your next appointment.

For new clients, you will need to arrive 10-15  minutes early to fill out new client paperwork and discuss any problems needing focused on.
