Proper Client Hygiene
Clients should arrive freshly showered and practice good hygiene. Please keep in mind that it is difficult to work through dried sweat and dirt and the client will not receive maximum benefits of the massage if the therapist is not able to glide properly on the tissue. If a client arrives without showering first, the massage will be switched to a sports massage (stretching) and charged accordingly.
***Inappropriate Behavior Policy***
Massage therapy is for relaxation and therapeutic purposes only. There is ABSOLUTELY NO sexual component to massage whatsoever. ANY insinuation, joke, sound, gesture, conversation, or request otherwise will result in IMMEDIATE TERMINATION of your session and a refusal of any and all services in the future. You will be charged the full service fee regardless of the length of your session. Depending on the behavior exhibited we may also file a report with the local authorities if necessary. Treat your therapist with respect and dignity and you will be treated the same in return.
We respectfully ask that you provide us with a 24-hour notice of any schedule changes or cancellation requests. Please understand that when you cancel or miss your appointment without providing a 24 hour notice we are often unable to fill that appointment time. This is an inconvenience to your therapist and also means our other clients miss the chance to receive services they need. For this reason, a credit card will be held on file when you book your session and a 50% charge of the Full Original Price of the service will be charged for same day cancellations. If you have a prepaid service or gift card, you will be issued a credit of the remaining balance after the 50% charge has been deducted. To avoid any charges, you may send anyone to come in your place. Please note that the therapist reserves the right to discontinue service to anyone that has a consistent history of late cancellations or no shows.
***Last minute cancellations within 4 hours of your appointment or No Call No Shows will be charged the full price of the session as the therapist will not be able to fill the session at such a short notice. You may send anyone in your place to keep from being charged.
****If you have a fever, a known infection, or have experienced vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours prior to your appointment time, we request that you CANCEL your session. **** This will prevent spreading the illness to the therapist as well as other clients. If you arrive and are noticeably ill, you will be asked to reschedule and will be charged the appropriate cancellation fee. So please make sure to cancel your session if you are feeling ill.
Late Arrival Policy
We request that you arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time to allow time to fill out any required paperwork as well as answer any intake questions your therapist may have. If you will be late, please call ahead to let your therapist know to wait for you. Appointment times are reserved for each client, so we cannot exceed that reserved time without making the next client late. For this reason, arriving after your appointment time will result in loss of time from your massage so that your session ends at the scheduled time. Full service fees will be charged even when sessions are shortened due to late arrival. In return we will do our best to be on time, and if we are unable to do so we will add time to your session to make up for our late arrival, add in hot rocks and hot towels or adjust the service charge accordingly.

Will I be covered during my session?
You will be covered with a sheet and a blanket during the session. Only the areas being worked will be un-draped. The client should always tell the therapist if they feel uncomfortable or have any areas they do not want worked.
Must I be completely undressed?
Many clients feel more comfortable leaving boundaries on, any boundaries left on will be worked by compression over the sheet and will not receive the full benefit of the massage. Once the client becomes comfortable with massage, it is more beneficial to undress fully. That way the hips, glutes, thighs and lower back can be worked properly.
How much should I tip?
It is recommended to treat the therapist as a waiter. Tipping on the total original price rather than the sales price will show your therapist how well she did. If you are unsure what proper tips are, for an hour session tips range from $10, $15, $20 and up.
How often should I receive a massage?
It is recommended to have routine work done at least once a month to maintain a healthy mind and body. If you are in need of more work, there are weekly and bi-weekly appointments as well. You may want to check out my VIP membership for these sessions.
What is included in the session time?
Each session begins right on time and goes the length of your session. If you arrive 5 minutes early, we may begin early, but the session will then end 5 minutes early. Once in the room, we will go over any new areas of concern and I will answer any questions you may have. Then I will step out of the room and give 2 minutes for you to undress and get on the table. The massage will be given until the end of the session. Afterwards, you will have time to get dressed and discuss any further questions and book your next appointment.
For new clients, you will need to arrive 10 minutes early to fill out new client paperwork and discuss any problems needing focused on.
